A group of local shop owners who are keen to bring community spirt back to historic Hemel Hempstead Old Town, have formed a Committee to bring the popular Sunday market, and other events back. The Association is a non-profit making organization, set up with the sole intention to showcase the Old Town and the many diverse, independent shops who have their home in the High Street. Formed by a core group of local shop owners, including Lisa Thomas – The Copperleaf Clinic, Michele Elliot – House of Elliott, Ben Satchfield – Olde Kings Arms and Kelly Pedlar – Hive Coffee Shop, they are supported by their Borough Councillor, Rob Beauchamp in this venture.
Lisa Thomas, Chair of HOTTA - Hemel Old Town Traders Association, said ‘Hemel Hempstead Old Town is such a beautiful place with lots of history and beautiful architecture. We felt that by bringing the market and other events back, we could encourage people to visit and experience this gorgeous area for themselves.’
